Muscle loss may change anesthesia needs in transplant patients

NCT ID NCT06909942

Summary

This study aimed to understand if patients with muscle loss (sarcopenia) need different amounts of a muscle relaxant drug during liver transplant surgery. Researchers observed three adult patients undergoing a transplant, measuring their muscle strength before surgery and tracking their drug use and recovery. The goal was to gather knowledge to help tailor anesthesia doses for future patients with muscle loss.
