Virus therapy tested to shrink tough tumors before surgery

NCT ID NCT04599062

Summary

This study is testing whether injecting a modified virus (talimogene laherparepvec) directly into a tumor, along with standard radiation therapy, is safe and effective for patients with advanced soft tissue sarcoma before they have surgery. The goal is to see if this combination can kill more of the tumor cells to make surgery more successful. The study will enroll adults with certain types of advanced sarcoma that are difficult to remove completely.
