Faster radiation before cancer surgery? new trial aims to cut treatment time

NCT ID NCT07265661

Summary

This study is testing a shorter, more convenient radiation schedule for patients with soft tissue sarcoma in the arms, legs, or torso before surgery. It will compare having surgery 1-2 weeks after radiation versus the more common 4-6 week wait to see if the shorter timeline is just as safe and effective. The goal is to gather evidence to make this faster treatment approach a standard option.
