Doctors test 'Glow' drink to light up tumors during surgery

NCT ID NCT07038278

Summary

This early study is testing whether a special drink can make soft tissue sarcoma tumors glow under a special light during surgery. The goal is to help surgeons better see the tumor's edges to remove it more completely while sparing healthy tissue. About 20 adults with a confirmed sarcoma will drink the agent a few hours before their standard surgery. Researchers will check if the tumor glows and if this helps guide the surgeon's cuts.
