New hope for tough tumors: Drug-Radiation combo trial opens

NCT ID NCT06025747

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether adding a drug called abemaciclib to standard radiation therapy before surgery is safe and can help shrink tumors in patients with high-risk abdominal sarcomas. The trial will enroll 18 adults with this rare cancer to find the best dose and check for side effects. The goal is to see if this combination makes surgery more effective by reducing the tumor first.
