Summary

This study looked at whether doing jump and sprint exercises on sand or a hard surface makes a difference in performance, balance, and muscle soreness. Fifty-seven active young men trained three times a week for eight weeks on either sand, firm ground, or did no special training. The researchers measured jumps, sprints, balance, and soreness to see which surface worked best.
