Thousands donate samples to build a 'Biobank' for future science
NCT ID NCT01087307
Summary
This study created a registry of anonymous biological and environmental samples from adult volunteers. The purpose was to collect materials like blood, urine, and household dust to help scientists develop, test, and improve the accuracy of new laboratory tests for future research. Over 5,300 participants provided samples to build this resource, which is used for quality control and to understand how to best handle and analyze samples.
