First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 30 times
Summary
This study looks at whether doing an endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) at the same time as a standard bile duct procedure (ERCP) helps doctors make better treatment choices. About 214 adults with pancreatic or bile duct diseases who need ERCP for the first time will be randomly assigned to get either ERCP alone or ERCP plus EUS. Researchers will compare how often the treatment plan changes, complication rates, and hospital costs to see if the combined approach is safer and more effective.
