Summary
This study tested whether patients could safely go home the same day after weight loss surgery, instead of staying overnight. Researchers compared 200 adults having gastric bypass surgery, with half going home the same day and half staying one night. They tracked whether patients needed to return to the hospital and monitored their weight loss progress over a year.
