Massive study probes hidden dangers of outpatient surgery

Summary
This study aims to understand how often heart problems and other complications happen after same-day outpatient surgery. It will follow 15,000 adults for 90 days after their procedure to identify risk factors and create better tools to predict which patients are safest for this type of surgery. The goal is to improve patient safety by gathering real-world data on outcomes.
