Heart patients go home same day in new hospital program trial

NCT ID NCT05142293

Summary

This study is testing whether it is safe and practical for heart failure patients to receive a special pacemaker and be discharged from the hospital on the same day. It compares outcomes for patients in a same-day program against those who stay in the hospital overnight as usual. The goal is to see if this approach is safe, works well, and can save costs for the healthcare system.
