Surgery to prevent cancer may impact women's biological clocks

NCT ID NCT02284711

Summary

This study looked at whether removing the fallopian tubes to prevent ovarian cancer affects a woman's remaining egg supply and future fertility. Researchers compared two different surgical sealing techniques in 96 women having this preventive procedure. They measured hormone levels and blood flow to the ovaries before and after surgery to see if either technique was safer for preserving fertility.
