Summary
This study tested whether a supplement made from salmon bone meal can help prevent bone loss in perimenopausal women who have low bone density (osteopenia). Eighty women aged 50 and older took the supplement or a placebo for up to 24 months. The main goal was to see if their hip bone density stayed stable or improved.
