Fish bones vs. brittle bones: can salmon meal stop bone loss?
NCT ID NCT05066477
Summary
This study tested whether a daily supplement made from salmon bones could help prevent bone loss in women aged 50+ with early-stage bone thinning (osteopenia). Over two years, 80 participants took either the salmon bone meal capsules or a placebo to see if it improved their bone density. The goal was to see if this natural source of calcium and minerals could be a better way to keep bones strong and reduce future fracture risk.
