Spit test could simplify diagnosis for common adrenal tumor
NCT ID NCT07350031
Summary
This study aimed to see if a simple saliva test works as well as a standard blood test for detecting excess cortisol hormone in people with benign adrenal tumors. Researchers compared results from 100 patients with these tumors and 100 healthy volunteers. The goal was to determine if the easier saliva test could reliably replace the more invasive blood draw for diagnosis.
