Scientists probe 'Thick Saliva' mystery in rare muscle disorder
NCT ID NCT07118280
Summary
This study aims to learn more about Oculopharyngeal Muscular Dystrophy (OPMD) by examining the saliva and oral health of people who have it. Researchers will compare 100 people with OPMD to their unaffected family members to see if saliva is thicker and if swallowing problems affect dental health. The goal is to gather basic knowledge, not to test a treatment.
