Spit test could help spot mouth diseases
NCT ID NCT07416318
Summary
This study aimed to find out if the proteins in saliva differ between people with two specific mouth conditions and healthy individuals. Researchers collected saliva samples from 21 people with oral lichen planus, oral leukoplakia, or no mouth disease. By analyzing the protein patterns, they hoped to identify markers that could one day help doctors tell these conditions apart more easily.
