Scientists search for gum disease clues in spit
NCT ID NCT06402877
Summary
This study aimed to understand gum disease better by measuring the levels of three specific proteins in saliva. Researchers collected saliva samples from 60 people with healthy gums, gingivitis, or periodontitis to see if protein levels correlated with the health of their gums. The goal was to gather knowledge that might help with future detection or understanding of these common dental conditions.
