NCT ID NCT05527704

First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tests whether an inhaled asthma medicine (salbutamol) can safely reduce breathing problems in newborns with transient tachypnoea, a condition where fluid stays in the lungs after birth. About 608 babies born between 32 and 42 weeks are taking part. The goal is to see if the drug lowers the need for breathing support and shortens hospital stays.
