5-Day brain zap treatment tested for severe depression

Summary
This study is testing whether a 5-day brain stimulation treatment called SAINT can help people with major depression who haven't improved with standard antidepressant medications. About 1000 adults will receive 10 brief stimulation sessions per day for 5 consecutive days. Researchers will measure whether symptoms improve during treatment and how long any benefits last over the following year.
