Experimental drug aims to slow Huntington's cognitive decline
NCT ID NCT05358821
Summary
This study tested whether an experimental drug called SAGE-718 could improve thinking skills in people with early Huntington's disease. For 28 days, 69 participants either received the drug or a placebo (inactive substance) in a double-blind trial where neither they nor the researchers knew who got which. The main goal was to see if the drug could help with cognitive tasks like memory, problem-solving, and emotional recognition compared to healthy volunteers.
