First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This early-stage study tests whether a probiotic taken by mouth (R-2487) is safe for people with Sjogren's Syndrome, an autoimmune disease causing dry eyes and mouth. About 36 adults will take the probiotic, and doctors will monitor side effects and check for changes in disease activity using blood and stool tests. The goal is to see if this approach can help control the condition.
