Summary
This early-stage study tested whether a new probiotic bacterium, Phascolarctobacterium faecium, is safe and well-tolerated in people. Twenty healthy adults with normal weight or overweight took the bacterium daily for 15 days. Researchers monitored for side effects, changes in blood markers, and digestive symptoms. The study did not aim to treat any disease, only to check safety.
