New inhaled nausea drug passes early safety check in healthy volunteers

NCT ID NCT04200092

First seen Apr 25, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This early-stage study tested an inhaled form of the anti-nausea drug granisetron (called AZ-010) in 36 healthy adults. The goal was to check its safety and how the body processes it, comparing different doses and also comparing it to the standard IV form. Since it only involved healthy volunteers and measured drug levels and side effects, it was a safety and drug-behavior study, not a treatment trial.
