NCT ID NCT07358299

First seen Jan 26, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study tests if a continuous spinal anesthesia method (using a small tube to give medicine slowly) is safer than the standard single-shot injection for hip fracture surgery in people over 50. The goal is to reduce sudden drops in blood pressure and related problems like confusion or kidney injury. About 216 participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two methods and followed for up to 24 months.
