New spinal injection technique aims to prevent dangerous blood pressure drops in elderly surgery

NCT ID NCT07288996

Summary

This study is testing a new way of giving spinal anesthesia to make hip fracture surgery safer for patients aged 65 and older. Researchers will compare a new method that uses two different types of numbing medicine in small, split doses against standard techniques. The main goal is to see if this new approach can reduce dangerous drops in blood pressure during surgery, which is a common risk for elderly patients.
