Balloon vs. pills: a gentler start to labor for moms with C-Section scars
NCT ID NCT03471858
Summary
This study compared two methods to help start labor in women who had a previous cesarean section and wanted to try for a vaginal birth. Researchers tested a small cervical balloon that gently stretches the cervix against a common medication (prostaglandins), which can sometimes cause excessive contractions. The goal was to see if the balloon method was a safer and effective alternative for these mothers.
