Breathing tube safety test for obese surgery patients

NCT ID NCT05930678

Summary

This study aimed to find the safest way to place a breathing tube in severely obese patients (BMI 35+) during surgery. It compared two common techniques used by anesthesiologists: placing the tube with or without using a face mask to provide oxygen first. The goal was to reduce complications like low oxygen levels during this critical part of anesthesia.
