New study tracks Long-Term effects of sickle cell drug on puberty and fertility

Summary

This study follows 250 people with sickle cell anemia over many years to see how the medicine hydroxyurea affects their growth, puberty, and ability to have children. Researchers will also compare pregnancy outcomes between those who take the drug and those who don't. The goal is to better understand the long-term effects of this common treatment.
