NCT ID NCT07346365
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study will compare two different schedules for removing pancreatic stents placed during ERCP to prevent pancreatitis. One group will have the stent removed after 1-3 months, while the other will have it removed within 10 days. The goal is to see which timing leads to fewer complications and better outcomes for the 358 participants.

- pancreatic stent
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could establish the safest timing for removing pancreatic stents after ERCP, reducing complications and follow-up procedures.
- What could go wrong
- This is an early-stage study that has not yet started recruiting. The results may not apply to all patients or stent types, and the optimal timing may vary by individual.
