Bar staff training aims to stop sexual assault before it starts

NCT ID NCT07527988

First seen Apr 28, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether a training program for bar staff can help prevent sexual violence. About 3,180 staff and patrons at bars that receive the training will be compared to those at bars that do not. Researchers will survey participants over 12 months to see if the training leads to fewer incidents of sexual assault and harassment, and whether staff are more likely to step in when they see a risky situation.
