New study tests safer way to quit antidepressants

Summary

This study aims to find the best way for people to safely stop taking antidepressant medication when their depression is under control. It will compare two different tapering (gradual dose reduction) methods in 150 adults in Italy who have been stable on antidepressants for at least six months. The goal is to see which method helps more people stop successfully with fewer withdrawal symptoms or depression returning.
