Stitches vs staples: which works better in weight loss surgery?
NCT ID NCT07348146
Summary
This study compares two ways surgeons connect intestines during SADI-S weight loss surgery: hand-sewn stitches versus mechanical staples. Researchers want to see which method leads to fewer leaks, complications, and shorter hospital stays for 82 patients. The goal is to find the safest and most effective technique for this metabolic surgery.
