First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study looks at whether placing a small lift under the lower back (sacral lift) can make the femoral vein bigger and easier to see on ultrasound. Researchers will compare vein size and artery overlap with and without the lift in 35 emergency department adults. The goal is to find a simple way to improve success when inserting a tube into the femoral vein.
