New tool aims to help rural kidney patients get more out of doctor visits

Summary

This small pilot study will test a structured list of discussion topics (called CKD Topics) designed to help people with advanced chronic kidney disease and their doctors make the most of clinic visits. About 30 patients, care partners, and clinic staff will try the tool and answer surveys. The goal is to see if the study procedures work smoothly before launching a larger trial.
