Scientists test which running plan cuts your 5K time
NCT ID NCT07498608
Summary
This study aims to find out which of two 12-week running training plans works better for improving 5-kilometer race times and body composition. It will involve about 40 recreational runners aged 20 to 45 who live at high altitude near Bogotá, Colombia. Participants will be randomly assigned to follow either a 'polarized' plan (mostly easy runs with some hard efforts) or a 'threshold' plan (more moderate-paced runs).
