New care plan aims to slash bleeding deaths in african C-Sections

Summary

This study tests a set of care steps called 'Rule of THUMB' to help doctors better prevent and treat heavy bleeding during and after C-sections. About 2,400 women having C-sections in African hospitals will take part. The goal is to see if this approach improves risk checks, use of medicines, and follow-up care to reduce deaths and complications.
