New hope to keep advanced endometrial cancer at bay

NCT ID NCT03617679

Summary

This study tested whether a drug called rucaparib could help keep metastatic or recurrent endometrial cancer from worsening after initial chemotherapy. It involved 79 women who had completed 1-2 prior treatments. Participants were randomly assigned to receive either rucaparib or a placebo pill until their cancer progressed, with the goal of extending the time patients lived without their disease getting worse.
