Head-to-Head biologic battle for Sight-Threatening eye inflammation

NCT ID NCT02929251

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tested three different biologic drugs (adalimumab, anakinra, and tocilizumab) in 112 people with severe, hard-to-treat eye inflammation called uveitis. The goal was to see which drug works best to reduce eye inflammation and allow patients to lower their steroid use. Uveitis can cause blindness if not controlled, and standard treatments often fail. The trial aimed to find the most effective biologic option for these patients.
