First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study tests whether a non-invasive magnetic brain stimulation technique called rTMS can improve walking, especially starting to walk, in people with Parkinson's disease. Researchers will compare high-frequency and low-frequency stimulation to a sham (fake) treatment in 81 participants. The goal is to see if targeting a specific brain area (the supplementary motor area) can ease gait difficulties.
