Can a brain wave test predict depression treatment success?
NCT ID NCT05424224
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tests whether brain wave (EEG) measurements can predict which people with depression will respond well to a non-invasive treatment called repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS). About 30 adults with depression will receive rTMS, and researchers will compare their EEG patterns before and after treatment. The goal is to find simple, low-cost ways to identify the best candidates for this therapy.
