Brain scan breakthrough could target depression treatment

NCT ID NCT05424224

Summary

This study aims to find out if a simple brain wave test (EEG) can predict which people with depression will respond well to a non-invasive magnetic brain stimulation treatment called rTMS. Researchers are studying 30 people with depression, giving them the treatment and measuring their brain activity before and after. The goal is to learn how to match the right patients with this therapy to improve outcomes.
