Brain zaps before therapy: a new hope for OCD?
NCT ID NCT06840951
First seen Mar 15, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This small pilot study tests whether a brief, non-invasive brain stimulation technique called rTMS can boost the effects of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for people with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Ten adults with OCD will receive rTMS before starting CBT to see if it improves cognitive flexibility and reduces symptoms. The goal is to find a safe, easy way to make the gold-standard therapy work even better.
