Summary

This study aims to understand how often viruses like RSV, flu, and COVID-19 cause serious lung infections (pneumonia) in a rural part of India. Researchers will closely monitor 2000 children and adults in 30 villages for three years, tracking illnesses from home visits to hospitalizations. The goal is to gather detailed information on how many people get sick, how severe the infections are, and how many deaths occur, to help plan better public health responses.
