Vanished virus returns: tracking the unusual comeback of childhood bronchiolitis
NCT ID NCT04959734
Summary
This study aims to understand how the COVID-19 pandemic changed the timing and severity of RSV (a virus causing bronchiolitis) in young UK children. It will track up to 3000 children under 2 years old who come to emergency departments with bronchiolitis symptoms. The research will monitor when RSV returns, how sick children get, and how well the new maternal RSV vaccine works to protect infants.
