New nerve surgery aims to silence phantom limb pain

Summary

This study is testing a specific nerve surgery called RPNI to see if it can reduce long-term pain and improve mobility for people who have had a major leg amputation. Researchers will follow 20 patients for two years after their surgery. They will measure pain levels, how well patients can use a prosthetic leg, and overall quality of life.
