First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looks at a surgery called RPNI that may help reduce nerve pain and improve daily life for people who have had a leg amputated. The surgery takes the cut nerve end and wraps it in a small piece of the patient's own muscle to help it heal better. Researchers will follow 20 adults for two years to see if their pain lessens and if they can move around more easily.
