Bee product tested as brain booster for aging minds

NCT ID NCT06404203

Summary

This study tested whether taking a freeze-dried form of royal jelly, a substance made by bees, for four weeks could improve thinking skills and reduce inflammation in healthy older adults. Researchers enrolled 120 people aged 55 to 70 without a dementia diagnosis. Participants were randomly assigned to take either royal jelly or a placebo, and their memory, mood, and blood markers of inflammation were measured before and after the treatment period.
