Summary
This study tested whether giving the drug Roxadustat before heart bypass surgery could prevent a common complication called acute kidney injury. It involved 98 adult patients scheduled for non-emergency bypass surgery. The trial was designed to compare Roxadustat against a placebo to see if it reduced the rate of kidney damage after the operation.
