Pill vs. injection: new hope for kids with Kidney-Related anemia

NCT ID NCT05970172

Summary

This study is testing an oral pill called roxadustat as a potential new treatment for anemia (low red blood cells) in children and teenagers with chronic kidney disease. The goal is to see if this pill, taken three times a week for up to a year, is a safe and effective alternative to the current standard treatment, which involves regular injections. Researchers will monitor the children's blood levels and overall health closely throughout the study.
