First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated Apr 23, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tested whether using ropivacaine, a numbing medicine, during gallbladder surgery helps patients recover faster and go home the same day. 120 adults having planned laparoscopic gallbladder removal took part. The goal was to see if ropivacaine reduces pain and nausea, which often delay discharge.
